Keeping community connections and celebrating dance is more important now, during COVID, than ever. Luckily we had a creative group of dancers brainstorm, consult all current safety precautions and collaborate to create an outdoor show for a small group of our family and friends.

Jennifer Secrist Goran at Tribe Nawaar's Social Dis Dance Farm ShowThe weather was incredibly hot, around 100º. Although we were toasty we managed to enjoy our time dancing. We presented 7 pieces, 6 of which can be viewed on our YouTube channel (one didn’t get recorded by accident). For some of our students this was there very first performance. We think they did especially well considering we have not had in person classes since March!

Family time at Tribe Nawaar's Social Dis Dance Farm ShowHaving this brief opportunity to connect again ‘recharged’ our batteries and will keep us satiated thru the coming months as our online classes continue. We are so thankful for what this dance form has brought to our lives and the loving community that all of the Tribe Nawaar dancers have created.

Wherever you are and whatever impact COVID has had, we hope you have been able to keep
connection with your fellow dancers.
