More About This Natural Coque Feather Fringe

“Strung Rooster Half-Bronze Schlappen Feathers approximately 6-8 inches long are strung (sewn) together near the tip of each quill. Rooster schlappen (body) feathers are thicker than saddles or hackle feathers (ranging 1/2-3/4 inch wide), and are more rounded at the tip. Schalappen feathers soft flexible feathers, and fluffy near the quill. This variety of schlappen identified as Half-Bronze, is naturally fluffy white at the end of the quill with a greenish iridescent color covering half, or parts of the feathers, and white with reddish-brown coloration on the the other half or through the center of the feather.”

Our Auburn option contain slightly more of the reddish-brown feathers. Our Autumn option contains slightly more of the of the iridescent feathers. The photo to the left is ‘Autumn’.

• Auburn 1: contains one continuous 6″ and one continuous 5″ long section, for a total of 11″
