Description
Add drama and theatricality to your next event or performance with our hot pink queen theatrical feather collar! Made right here in our studio. Richly colored feathers are securely sewn onto a long stretchy tie base allowing you to create a variety of looks with just one collar!
Some of our favorite ways to wear them are open ‘Showgirl’ style, closed ‘Victorian Collar’ style or down ‘Warrior’ style… or create your own unique stage look by tying them around the hips, head, legs, etc. A versatile wardrobe accessory that is great for tribal belly dance, Raqs Gothique, cosplay, drag, steampunk, fantasy or as theatrical halloween costumes (think of your favorite evil queens)!
How To Wear Them
Our hot pink queen theatrical feather collar can be worn in a variety of different ways with different costuming pieces. These are a few of our favorite ways of using them in belly dance performances:
Showgirl Style:
Center feather collar at the back of the neck (curve of the feather follows the curve of the neck). The wide black band should rest flat against the back of the neck with the feathers up. Take the ties and lay them flat across the front of the shoulder with the feathers splaying out, away from the face. Loop the ties under the arm. Tie in the back.
When paired with coin bra, flared leg pants and Rosehips skirt this look is modern and slightly edgy.
Victorian Collar Style:
Center feather collar at the back of the neck (curve of the feather follows the curve of the neck). The wide black band should rest flat against the back of the neck with the feathers up. Take the ties and lay them flat across the front of the shoulder with the feathers splaying in, curving in and closing in around the neck. Loop the ties under the arm. Tie in the back.
Pair this with one of our bodices (these vest are also great worn reversed for an all black look), two 25 yard cupcake skirts tucked into a bustle, long gloves and a top hat. Perfect for a Gothic, Victorian, Steampunk or other period inspired costumes.
Warrior Style:
Center feather collar on the shoulders (curve of the feather points down). The wide black band should rest flat against the top of the shoulders with the feathers laying flat. Take the ties and lay them flat across the front of the shoulder with the feathers laying flat across the shoulders. Loop the ties under the arm. Tie in the back.
This style is great with any outfit.. even regular street clothes. A wonderful look for festivals and concerts.
But that’s not all:
We have also seen some really creative looks using the feather collars as a bust cover, hip accent and head adornment… with these long stretchy ties the possibilities are vast.
