Make your own one of a kind silk or feather fans with our DIY plastic fan staves!

Mount your fabric or feathers on to one side of the staves for right handed use or to the other side for left handed use. Get 2 DIY fan staves to create both a right and left handed set.

Open fan staves measure 10 1/2″ tall by 19″ wide. Closed fan staves measure 10 1/2″ tall by 1 1/2″ wide.

More About Our DIY Plastic Fan Staves

Our fan staves are perfect for making DIY feather and silk fans. Or use them with some other element like cheese cloth, flattened artificial leaves or really anything you want to use as a fan shaped dance prop.

16 separate fan staves, each measure about 10 1/2″ tall by 1/2″ wide. All are mounted together at the base with metal hardware. Brass toned loop at end can have tassels or other adornments tied on. Brass loop can hook on to costuming. Helpful for festivals and faires. Heavy duty binding thread at the midpoint add additional security and sets the open width.

The binding thread can be removed and adjusted to create your perfect fan width. If you are using large feathers a wider width may be desired whereas smaller fans and silk may be best with smaller widths. For large or heavy feathers you can add felt to the staves. This may help some feathers to be more easily secured.
