These eco-chic pieces feature corset-like grommets that adjust to comfortably fit most body shapes. High quality construction you know and expect from our personal label. They pair beautifully with our Sariloons.

More About Our Woodland Rose Corseted Bodice
Eco-chic and environmentally-friendly, our Woodland Rose bodice is newly constructed and assembled with vintage sari fabric. Metallic details add interest. The inside is lined with sturdy new black cotton fabric.
Stunning colors and details make these a perfect choice for stage, class and so much more! We’ve been a trusted source for these vintage sari bodices since 2002.

Fabric & Construction:
Our premium vintage sari fabric content is typically about 70% silk, 30% viscose. These up-cycled fabrics are cleaned, pressed and custom tailored into our fabulous one of a kind bodices. We’ve added a sturdy new lining to the inside of the bodice for maximum durability. Includes a bonus black lace tie just in case you loose one.
Size
Size: Medium. Medium fits busts approximately 34″- 38″ and can be adjusted smaller using our Overlap Lacing Technique (see Tip #1) or be adjusted to fit slightly larger if you leave a slight gap between grommeted sections. See our size guide for more info.
Tips
Tip #1: You can adjust any of our bodices to be up to 3″ smaller by using our Overlap Lacing Technique! ~Learn about overlap lacing~
Tip #2: Included are all black ties which work great for almost all looks. Create a fun, new look by swapping out the black ties for other color ties. You can choose contrasting tie or colors that match other elements in your costuming. For example, if you are wearing a white satin skirt, consider adding white satin ribbon as an accent!
How To Wear Them
1. These versatile tops are gorgeous paired with skirts and pants alike! We especially love them with our Sariloons.
2. With such lovely detailing & colors, you can layer them over a simple cotton chemise or dress to make a quick and stunning renaissance and medieval costume. Or with a sheer Ghawazee or Entari coats for a stunning folkloric inspired costume.
3. In cold weather they easily can be worn over choli tops and billowing blouses for stylish winter look. In the warmer summer months they look equally fantastic worn alone without an under top.
4. Optionally these bodices can also be worn reversed to be an all black bodice! Just clip off the labels. This gives you an entirely different look from just one costuming piece! ~See a sample of this vest worn reversed~
What Is Eco-Chic?
Eco-chic is what we like to call garments that are made with a focus on being environmentally mindful, low waste and 100% stylish. Our bodices are up-cycled, meaning the fabric has been repurposed from already existing garments and textiles.
How does this work?
We start with a premium vintage fabric that is no longer being used as a traditional sari/saree. This is then cleaned, pressed and custom tailored into our fabulous one of a kind corseted tops. Only the lining & hardware are newly produced.
This type of fabric reuse is one of the best things we can do for the environment. It helps unused garments find a new purpose and reduces the amount of textiles that end up in landfills. A win for you and a win for the planet!
