Class Content
Monday 6pm beginning level classes, 45 minutes:
Here you’ll learn the fundamental steps and movements from an instructor with over 35 years experience in this dance form! We’ll start with a quick review of the movement we’ve done the previous class then break down a new step and if there is time you’ll follow along putting some of the steps into an improvised dance.
Monday 7pm intermediate level classes, 45 minutes:
Expanding on our beginning level class, this class moves into some more complex movements & steps. In addition dancers will get introduced to the improvisational format used in this dance form including basic formation work and lead & follow skills.
Monday combo package, 90 minutes:
Get more dance time in and enjoy great savings when you register for both the 6pm and 7pm classes together.
A popular choice with our students after they have a couple of sessions of the beginning level classes under their belts.
Thursday 5:30pm mixed level classes, 75 minutes:
We’ll start off in the first section of class learning the fundamentals from our beginning level classes, along with some intermediate steps and concepts. After the movement and/or concept breakdown dancers will get to work in groups with other dancers at their skill level or with the teacher.
A great opportunity to not only learn the art of the dance, but, to also connect and build community with dancers from a variety of levels within our community.
