The much anticipated 3rd Annual Tribal Soirée's date has been set, so, mark your calendars and get ready for the fun!!!

This community building event features tribal bellydance performances and open dancing by students and professional troupes throughout the front range and mountain region. This is a great opportunity to meet your fellow tribal enthusiasts and share a few dances and laughs. Performances start at 7 followed by open dancing to a mix of recorded and live music until we shut the place down. On site, we will have a variety of vendors offering exotic items from around the globe and a photographer and videographer to help us enjoy this evening again in the future!

The Avalon Ballroom, located on Arapahoe Avenue, just east of Foothills Parkway, is an ideal location. With a huge dance floor, raised stage, lots of padded seating, plenty of off street parking and ample backstage area for primping, prepping and warming up, we think you'll agree the Avalon Ballroom is a perfect match for this event. We are pleased this year to have the amazing photographic talents of Cynthia Holling-Morris. She has been photographing belly dancers for over 20 years and has acheived international notoriety for her timeless images, which have graced CDs and poster prints distributed world wide! Now you can have her photograph you! She and her assistants will flatter you with elegant lighting and natural-looking posing-- helping you feel comfortable and look gorgeous!

There will be group photographs taken of the troupes during performances that will be availble for you to view and purchase online. There may be some individual shots, but, if you want to guarantee quality individual images of you and your fellow dancers, we suggest booking a studio sitting. On-Site Studio Sittings are reasonably priced and conveniently located backstage at the Avalon Ballroom the night of the Tribal Soiree! On-Site Studio Sittings:

· Available for individuals or troupes of up to 15
· One sitting is 15 Minutes of studio shooting
· Includes 2 8x10 prints or 2 digital files from either the sitting or the performance
· Option to order more prints or digital files online
· Props are encouraged
· $50 per sitting/ $75 after April 18th, subject to availability


Note: They will attempt to take a couple individual photos of each troupe member as well as the group, but no guarantees on that for larger groups due to time constraints (so if someone really wants an individual photo, she/he should sign up for that separately or in smaller groups)

Shimmy, shimmy, shimmy! Got your shimmy and want to learn how to shake it more? Is your shimmy broken and needs some TLC? This fast paced workshop not only incorporates essential drills to improve your shimmy, but a fun variety of shimmy styles, including samba! This workshop is appropriate for all levels and all styles of belly dance (not just tribal!!). Please be sure to bring a water bottle and yoga mat. $25 pre-reg, $30 April 18th and after, and at the door, provided there is space.

Isolation & Layering Drills & Combos With Steven Eggers!

This class will consist of different isolation and layering techniques and drills, Focusing on articulation and brainteaser type drills to break up muscle memory. These would be incorporated in little combinations to be used for practice or in choreography. All Levels welcome. Warmup is yoga based. $30 at the door.
