Vintage Silk Salawar (Pantaloons or Harem Pants) An essential item for many forms of Middle Eastern dance, the Salawar in American Tribal Style are traditionally worn under layers of skirts and present a stunning color accent during turns and spins when the skirts float up. These Salawar have such lovely detailing and colors, we also think they look great worn alone! They are made from gently-used 'vintage silk' sari fabrics from India and and come in 2 thickness; light weight or medium weight. The light weight is a more delicate fabric and will add minimal bulk to the overall costuming. The medium weight is more durable with a thickness that is comparable to a thicker satin-type fabric. The thickness available will be listed in the item's description. One size, with an elastic and drawstring waistband that fits most waists and hips. All Salawar tend to be one of a kind. Choose individual pants below. These Salawar look great on men, too!
Seafoam Green
Deep blue green with antique silver accents. Medium weight fabric with detailing on front panels and soft stripe pattern on back. One available. Some spotting and signs of age typical for a fabric of this age. Waistband adjusts from 27" to 45"
Multicolored
Bands of magenta, green, mustard and chocolate brown are accented with warm silver detailing. Side section features ornate metallic detaling over burgundy fabric. Medium weight fabric with detailing. Some subtle spotting typical for a fabric of this age. One available. Waistband adjusts from 24" to 38"
Rich Green with Magenta Back
2 toned Salawar make quite a statement during spins! Front panel is a rich jewel green with pale gold accents throughout. The back panel has the same rich green at the bottom with a magenta upper that is accented by angular striped section on the back right side. Medium weight fabric with detailing along side seam.
